I’ve played the flute since I was 7 years old. I had asthma and Mom read if asthmatics played instruments, they could over come it.
It took 7 years to get a tone out of that old flute, but I kept on and do not have asthma anymore. I play at nursing homes, churches, the Rockford Rescue Mission, and festivals. I was in a P & W Team for a couple of years, but I felt the Lord told me to concentrate on my ministry.
A couple years ago I recorded the arrangements I do. There are four of them - two traditional gospel CDs, a Christmas CD and one with original songs. The CDs are called The Singing Gospel Flute series, because more than one people have approached me and asked how the words to the song came out of the flute. (Must be the HOLY SPIRIT or angels singing along. :))
I don’t what the Lord is going to do with them, but He keeps pressing me on.
How can I get a copy of your CD?
I drag out my flute about every 5 years and enjoy it thoroughly. Improving my skill is on my “for retirement” list, as we now have a music store with a teacher in my burg. I have a “music minus one” CD of worship songs, which I enjoy tooting along to, but my rhythm is not really good enough to get coordinated with the background in many of the songs. I would love to hear what true Spirit-inspired flute music sounds like.
