Jesus seriously rebuked Peter for suggesting he could avoid death...called him satan for suggesting it. The Rabbi is well intentioned, but erroneous.

Jesus seriously rebuked Peter for suggesting he could avoid death...called him satan for suggesting it. The Rabbi is well intentioned, but erroneous.

The road to hell is paved with "good intentions." This is a meaningless exercise, motivated by a guilty conscience, but not what God wants. If these Jews are pricked in their hearts, then they should do what Peter exhorts:

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. (Acts 2:37-41)

But I think the Hebrews roots movement, which WND promotes along with other false doctrines, is dangerous and sets up many to be deceived. These so-called "Rabbi's" should be a tip off. Jesus commanded us to call no man "Rabbi".

But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. (Matthew 23:8)

Jews, who are expecting a Messiah, but don't recognize Jesus presently as that Messiah, are rebuked strongly in scripture:

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. (1 John 2:22,23)

Antichrists. They don't believe in the same God and they don't have the Father. They didn't recognize Jesus, when he came 2000 years ago. And, when a "conquering messiah" does appear -- the antichrist -- he will deceive many and will be generally accepted by everyone but not by real believers. (2 Thessalonians 2). Subsequently, when Jesus returns in the midst of Daniel's 70th week, some 3 1/2 years after the appearance of the antichrist, Jesus' appearance will be like a "thief in the night"--unexpected by the unsaved, but fully expected by believers who will recognize the signs. (1 Thessalonians 4,5, 2 Thessalonians) Jesus will gather his own (Matthew 24:29ff, Revelation 8, Revelation 14) and pour out his wrath.

Well, that came out long and may not be as clear as it could be. If you are interested, here is a great video which covers these events in detail: After the Tribulation. It embraces the post-tribulation, pre-wrath rapture of the saints. It exposes the unbiblical (yes) pre-tribulation rapture doctine which will set up many to be deceived.
