Nobody is shocked. Seen 50 years of this crap. The Church says Blessed Virgin Mary is perpetual virgin because the Church has access to information that liberal fools don’t. End of story. Don’t like it? Fine.
I believe Mary was a virgin until after Jesus was born - God values the union between a man and wife too much to have denied her and Joseph the consummation of their marriage.

The Bible affirms Mary’s sinfulness. Speaking as a sinner, Mary said, “My spirit rejoices in God my savior (Luke 1:46 NIV). She confessed her present need (after her conception) of a Savior. She even presented an offering to the Jewish priest arising out of her sinful condition (Luke 2:22) which was required in the Old Testament (Lev. 12:2). This would not have been necessary if she were sinless.
She needs to study up. She is wrong in her assumptions.
Brings to mind the story EWTN’s Father Groeschel used to tell about the time he attended an Easter sunrise service with a Rabbi, conducted by some new-age priest whose message was essentially that in fact Jesus did not arise from death and ascend into heaven - “so why did we get up so early this morning?”, asked the Rabbi.......
