A lot of you will remember freeper Lilyramone in TX whose little daughter Sophia has had a lot of medical problems in the past 3 years or so. The family had moved from CA to TX and it seems had the boom lowered on them when they arrived. They've been going through an awful lot and it hasn't let up. I hadn't heard from her in ages but kept praying and checking her FR profile to see if she'd posted and she hadn't and worried more.
She has written now and asked for the prayers for Sophia to continue as she is scheduled for surgery in early February. She has been asked what her wish is from Make a Wish Foundation and her mom says her wish is to LIVE. She tells her mom she is not afraid to die but her mom said when she cuddles with her at night she'll whisper that she doesn't want to die.
Please let's all jump on board and get many prayers sent up to Jesus for Sophia and her whole family. And keep them going. Thank you all.

The Gospels are filled with accounts of your Mercy and Compassion, especially for children. This little one strongly desires to live, love and serve you. Please Lord if it is your desire, have Mercy on our precious Sophia and her family that loves her dearly.

Yes we are, I have been so fortunate, having kids and grandchildren who never go through these problems.

If they are in need of financial help is there a way we at FR can send our small mites to help. A bunch of small mites can really add up.

Sophia’s mom has never related to me any financial problem. I don’t know anything about that situation. I would certainly let freepers know if I knew that but I wonder if she would let me/us know!
I love the reference to “mites.” Reminds me of my grandson when he was about 4. He told his mother he needed money to take to preschool to give to the “lady” as she didn’t have any more money. My daughter didn’t know what he meant but she sent him the next day with some money. She learned later from the preschool teacher that they had learned about the lady giving her “last mite” and that’s the lesson he had taken home with him. They let him put it in the church collection basket. I guess he figured from there, the “lady” would get it...
Sophia’s mom is going to email me some pictures of Sophia as she’s had trouble in the past posting them to FR. I will see if I have luck posting them. I believe there is a video of Sophia on her mom’s profile page posted a few years ago. One day she was a bright, smiling, happy little girl and the next... There is a diagnosis also in some of the old freepmails but I believe it may have been when the doctors were still trying to figure out what was wrong so that could have been tentative and changed since I’ve heard from her mother. I’ll post what I can find.

I’ve thought the same thing many times but I’m afraid to voice it...saying it out loud scares me....I had an aunt who lost a baby and then a 4 year old daughter and that was it. Devastating for all the relatives. People don’t realize how fortunate their families are or have been. I have only one child and one grandchild but a dozen nieces and nephews with probably a dozen of their own grandchildren and all are safe and sound - thank God. Why do diseases creep up on little children? I’m sure I don’t know!!! But we do know where to go for comfort when they do!
