Enjoy!
The author knows very little about "Protestants". I've seen many miracles in my life and those of others close to me and I have read of many. Catholics don't hold any corner on miracles and no one is "bullying" them into silence.
What she calls "the age of dispensation of grace" further exposes her ignorance because we STILL are in the age of grace. What she may be referring to is the gift of "healing" which was a sign gift given to the Apostles and disciples of Jesus for the purpose of spreading the gospel to the world with signs and wonders verifying their authority. Those who claim they have this gift today are often exposed as charlatans and they preach an accursed gospel. The devil also will use signs and wonders in the last days to deceive many so we must always exercise sound judgment and test the spirits to see if they are from God and not be drawn into error by them. But God has never stopped answering prayers. I know that for a fact! Miracles are HIS way of strengthening our faith and that of others - He doesn't need a "healer" to accomplish His will.
Thanks for this post.
Catholics believe in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
There are many Eucharistic Miracles recounted by Joan Carroll Cruz (Tan Books) 2010.
One instance occurred in 1257 in Regensburg, Germany.
“During the offering of the Holy Sacrifice, a certain priest wondered about the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. All at once, the corpus on the large altar crucifix before him seem to come alive. One of the hands of Our Lord detached itself from the cross, stretched forward, and removed the chalice from the hands of the priest! With shock and fear, he stepped backward, gazed intently at the miracle, and fervently repented of his doubt. It was only then that the chalice was restored to him.”
There are many Eucharistic Miracles, even as recently as the 1980’s in Poland.
God’s Peace be with you.
