A friend of mine has had seizures post-stroke; the advice to her was to avoid at all costs being dehydrated. She became partially paralyzed from the stroke and moving around (including bathroom breaks) became more difficult, so she stopped taking enough fluids so she wouldn't have to go as often. Seizures increased. Now she has recognized that she must stay hydrated.
