Reading books by, and about, Exorcists confirmed my belief in the demonic. I recently met Father Gary Thomas who was the subject of the book “The Rite.” He was skeptical too until he attended exorcist training and participated in a few exorcisms. I highly recommend the book, the movie though, with Anthony Hopkins, was greatly sensationalized and only vaguely resembled the book.
Anyone who says that demons do not exist is simply not well informed.

Although I also don’t think the blame should be laid at the feet of the public schools, but rather at the feet of the parents, the schools DO play a role.

There are schools sooooooo horrific it would be better for the child to never attend. NEVER! Illiteracy and innumeracy can be fixed. Dead can't be.
I work in the system. I can guarentee you that none of these “kids” knows where their father is. The number one problem with kids who do such things is the lack of a father in thier life.

They were b****** kids of single mothers. No father in the homes. In fact two of the girls being raised by a grandmother. The mothers did not want them so they were not raised well at all. Lost their soul? They never had one to start with in that they were damaged goods.
This starts in the home and these kids had no family, have not for generations.
Look on the bright side, now they will hopefully be sentenced for life. No 6 abortions for the women and no multiple out of wedlock pregnancies. No section 8, EBT and welfare. The two boys won’t be paying child support for several women and be hauled into court over and over. For them, this cycle ends now.
What did the black family unit look like before the welfare state kicked Dads to the curb?
I work with black Christians and I can assure you that the behavior described above has nothing to do with skin color. It has to do with our corrupted institutions, in particular government schools. Anyone who has compromised and voted for politicians who support the status quo welfare state is indirectly culpable, at least in part, for the state of the black family.

Guess you haven’t been paying attention for the last 20 years - especially the last 8. I am neither shocked nor surprised at their actions. The only surprise I have is that it took this long.
I doubt that schools had much to do with their attitudes, because I doubt they spent significant time in school.
A bigger part of the problem, as you note, has been the toxic culture that has taken over “inner city” black culture, with whites seen as non human oppressors. The Nation of Islam viewpoint of “white people are the Devil” contributes to that.
An even bigger part of the problem, I think, has been the now-multigenerational effects of inner-city women having children of thugs and gang-bangers. When thugs are seen as more sexually exciting than men who have legitimate (but low earning) jobs, then thug genes will increasingly dominate the genetic pool. This happened as a result of welfare. It used to be that women needed a husband with a stable job. Now they don’t.
Saying they are possessed by demons is saying they are not at fault.
