People blaspheme and commit acts of sacrilege all the time, and because they aren't turned into a pile of ash immediately they assume Jesus doesn't mind.
Same credo as that of theives, rapists and murderers - no bolts of lightning from God are stopping them, therefore it must be okay. Do what thou wilt. Right?
