Thank you.
And Mother Dolores’ Hart’s autobiography is well worth reading: “Ear of the Heart: An Actress’ Journey from Hollywood to Holy Vows”
And the website of the Abbey of Regina Laudis where she has been a member for the last 50 years:

Back when we used to be proud of Hollywood
It’s hard to believe nowadays, that Hollywood at one time actually had standards; were mindful to not use profanity or overtly sexual situations or over the top violence in movies and TV. It’s hard to believe that at one time, they would portray religion and religious figures in a positive manner.
When is the last time any of you saw a religious figure, nun, priest, minister, etc. portrayed positively, as opposed to being the butt of the joke??? Or being portrayed as a molester or drunkard or otherwise being a loathsome person???
Saw this as a little girl and loved it the way I loved all nun movies. It’s not really good on rereview but she was charming as always. Hope TCM reruns all her movies.

I have the 1962 album.
Some of the best and timeless classic religious themed movies were produced in the 1950s. Back then, innate talent ruled.
One of my most favorite Debbie Reynolds movies is ...
Turns out she was pregnant with her daughter, Carrie, at the time. It's a wonderful, homey movie, often shown on TCM during the Christmas holidays.
