That’s what we have here... except our Francis (Bishop Lynch) paid out $100,000 in a sexual harassment case, brought by another man.
Bishop Parkes has been my bishop and a great one. He makes a point of visiting every parish in the diocese at least once a year. This diocese since its creation was a training ground for bishops to go to other dioceses and with the last bishop, John Ricard, we seemed to have been recognized as a full regular diocese. Ricard was a good bishop but finally had to retire due to a couple of strokes. Now we are put back in our place as a nursery for bishops to get sent to real dioceses when they are sufficiently experienced.
