It does not matter, nor did it ever, what any of us mean by "sovereign". What matters is how does God define his sovereignty over all of His creation and whether we believe Him. He has made it very clear from His Word to us.
Oh — I thought you meant “In control of all things” . Sorry . Can we believe in Him if he is not in control of the 7.2 billion on Earth. Of course, that does nothing for our salvation — does it? To have eternal life all we need is belief in his Son— Right? According to John 3:16- 18— “His Word” — right?
