WASHINGTON — President-elect Donald Trump marked the advent of what many predict will be a new era in civil rights and criminal-justice enforcement with his nomination of Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., for U.S. attorney general.
A former prosecutor and attorney general for the state of Alabama, Sessions, 69, is serving his fourth term in the U.S. Senate.
There, he has built a legacy as a fierce opponent of abortion and an advocate for religious freedom. Meanwhile, he has criticized the Obama administration’s immigration policies and supported the right of states to enforce their own marriage laws, after the Obama administration in 2011 refused to defend part of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which defined marriage, for the purposes of federal law, as a union of one man and one woman...
His priority will be to staff the Department of Justice with people who are committed to limited constitutional government...The next order of business will be to assist with the confirmation of the new Supreme Court justice..."

We have had too much of the identity politics diversion tactic where it concerns the pursuit of justice. Identity politics coupled with political correctness have distorted the justice system under Marxist Zer0. Just the hint of racism or homophobia or, you name it, has thwarted the Constitution.

Hopefully The Honorable Jeff Session will see that HRC and her ilk are investigated and brought to justice for the crimes that have been committed against this nation and its People.
Even though Trump is now backing away from his big talk to prosecute his friends if elected. Just another campaign LIE to get elected. To swing enough of undecided to win the highest office in America. Then back away from your promises.
Keeping the list. This doesn’t get a line thru it.

I'm guessing Sessions' advocacy of States' Rights ends with marijuana.

Many of his supporters are upset b/c The Donald indicated he might not be prosecuting Hillary and the rest of the treasonous wrong-doers.
KEEP IN MIND---w/ the lawless Obama, Trump is dealing with a dangerous megalomaniac who still controls the power levers for the next two months.
The Clinton crimes surely reach into the Justice Dept and most likely the Obama WH itself. Trump cannot announce an investigation now. He needs to ease Obama out, change the locks and then drop the hammer.
Trump saying : "Hillary's been through enough" is quite clever.....it serves to mollify the culprits until he can drop the hammer.
=============================================
It is next to impossible to believe the lawless Obama knew nothing about the Clinton big buck/intel-selling operation.....he, himself, was surely pocketing a cut of the loot, as long as he played along and acted stupid about what they were doing.
Luckily for us, AG Sessions is not the kind of man who would ignore wrong-doing on the scale of the Clintons' operation.....dismissing treason and espionage for political reasons.
No way.
Chaffetz can keep the investigation alive until Trump's DOJ can move in.
============================================
(hat tip freeper Rockingham) Hillary and Bill should be offered the usual plea bargain for a corrupt officials: a detailed guilty plea, with cooperation and testimony against associates, along with a substantial fine, disgorgement of illegal gains, and at least a year or two of jail time.
Humiliating and painful, but far less than the maximum.
Ideally, the Clintons can then be used to unravel and document their criminal schemes and to prosecute their criminal associates. If of a generous disposition, Trump could then pardon the jail time for the Clintons if they otherwise perform under the plea deal.

Thank you for your early morning post, today.
I totally agree that TRUMP is playing out the clock on Hillary’s future to avoid a pardon being issued by Obama prior to 20 January. Incidentally, Obama appears none to eager to give her one, either.
Obama is no longer politically obligated to Hillary Clinton and is no personal fan of hers. A forced political liaison only, seems pretty obvious between the two.
AG Sessions will surely unencumber the FBI from their Loretta Lynch handcuffs and allow them to pick up a more normal course of investigative action used for everyone else.
A new IRS will go after a harder look into the FOUNDATION.
TRUMP can sit back and enjoy the show along with the rest of us, and totally dis-connected from all of it.
