I am no longer a practicing Catholic, but I have gotten to the point where if the Vatican thinks something is bad, I am reflexively thinking it is probably good.

There is something wrong with this Pope. It seems more than just his nanny-state Marxist views.

I had wandered away from the Catholic Church in my early 20’s. Got married in a Baptist church, and could have joined any church (or none) at that point in my life.

I got serious about picking a direction after my first child was born. I got recruited back into the Church by a nun in the town of 600 where I was living. I figured this is where God wanted me.

The Catholic Church has many, many flaws. But so do all of the others. Because they are all run by men, and men are inherently flawed. If you keep waiting to find a perfect church to join you’ll never join one.

In my mind that’s not a good enough excuse do deny Him his worship.
