So far, in his short papacy, Bergoglio has attacked the Sacraments of Penance, Holy Communion, Holy Matrimony and now Holy Orders. He’s only got three left. I predict the next one will be Extreme Unction, since he thinks everyone is already saved.

On the subject of "mercy" for priests, how about Francis shows some to those priests who are truly suffering; the isolated, lonely pastors who have not walked out but have stayed faithful to their vows and heroically labored on, attempting to evangelize in harmony with the Church's teaching and tradition, even as they suffer under modernist bishops who look upon their efforts with scorn. How about Francis stops his own toungue-lashings directed at these priests, destroying their morale and increasing their suffering?

Now that would be some true mercy.
