The Catholic Primate of Ireland has said people in new relationships and unions should be welcomed into the church.
Archbishop of Armagh Eamon Martin made the comments at a conference celebrating family and family life, in preparation for Irelands hosting of the World Meeting of Families in 2018.
The Synod [OF BISHOPS]was clear that we need to be mindful of those who have begun new relationships and unions, and find sincere and truthful ways of welcoming and including them in the life and worshipping community of the church, he told some 700 delegates at DCU St Patricks College, Drumcondra on Saturday.

In 1946, Pope Paul VI called Ireland the most Catholic country in the world.
It only took 1-2 generations to turn it into just another post-modern secular pit.

My brother’s in-laws are Irish Expats. They are fairly disgusted whenever they return home. In their opinion joining the EU has dragged Ireland down the moral sewer.
Oh Well, the Scotland of John Knox used to be one of the most reformed Protestant countries in the world and now it is an even worse post-modern secular pit.
