Now, to reinforce the Hebrew Ownership of The Cave of Machpelia, let’s see who is buried there (This is NOT in dispute).

1. Abraham and Sarah (NOT Hagar!)
2. Isaac (NOT Ishmael!) and Rebecka
3. Jacob (NOT Esau!) and Leah.

Speaking of challenging ownership...Esau.

In the Cave of Machpelah in Hebron (the burial place of the Patriarchs) . . . Esau’s head lies in the bosom of Isaac. (Targum Yonatan, Genesis 50:13)

Along with Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob and Leah, is Esau’s head. We may see why soon....
