You are absolutely right on this, my dear Friend and Brother in Christ. So let us pray to ascertain the tempter’s efforts, and refuse to be drawn back into our own carnal roots. May we follow the LORD in using the sharpness of Speaking the double-edged Written Word of God, as He did in His Own time of temptation, our new man eating from the Tree of Life, strengthened and sustained in quenching the traces of habitual response still lingering from that dead “old man.” He was crucified with Christ, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin; for he that is dead is freed from sin.
