[[I wish you were right about that, but I’m afraid you’re not. ]]

I know for a fact that America is not Mystery Babylon because John tells us where Mystery Babylon is .

MYSTERY BABYLON IS IN THE DESERT

America may have a desert it in BUT she is not in a desert.

The word translated wilderness in Revelation does not mean a forest it means a desolate place , a desert .
https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/Lexicon/Lexicon.cfm?strongs=G2048&t=KJV

Rev 17:3

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Here we have the same word used again .

Heb 3:8

Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: G2048v

So where were was it that the Hebrew people hardened their hearts ? It was in the desert near Mount Sinai in Arabia
(Paul was taken to the same place to learn for 3 years see Galatians chapter 1 , Jesus himself spent 40 days in the desert when he was tempted by Satan to turn rocks into bread}

And Isaiah tell us where she is
the desert by the sea is Arabia
He even tells us who is going to come against her
Elam (that is Persia - IRAN)

(Isaiah 21:1) The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.

(Isaiah 21:2) A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.

(Isaiah 21:3) Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.

(Isaiah 21:10) O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.

(Isaiah 21:11) The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?

(Isaiah 21:12) The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.

(Isaiah 21:13) The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.

(Isaiah 21:14) The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled.

(Isaiah 21:15) For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.

(Isaiah 21:16) For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:

(Isaiah 21:17) And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it.

(Isaiah 21:4) My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me.

(Isaiah 21:5) Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.

(Isaiah 21:6) For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.

(Isaiah 21:7) And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed:

(Isaiah 21:8) And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:

(Isaiah 21:9) And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.

You have a problem
You do not believe God’s word

Paul explicitly told us WHY the crown is given and it isn’t for works .

You have a problem[.] You do not believe God’s word[.]

Pardon me, but the words contained in, "Faith and Deeds", are not my words. Those words are from the book of James. Maybe James, the brother of Yeshua, is the one, as you say, who has a problem?

There it is right in front of your face, Paul tells us why the crown is given and it is not for works

{2 Timothy 4:8) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

It is never about our righteousness , it is always about HIS
righteous . It is HIS righteousness that clothes us.

Why were we admonished to look for his coming ?
Because it causes a person to walk in the Spirit and not in the world. If you are walking in the Spirit you are living right , you are not doing stuff you are not suppose to be doing . You will be showing the fruits of the Spirit in your life and not the fruits of two bit whore .
But the crown of righteousness is not given for what you do but for what he has done in your life and that is why you long for his coming .

MYSTERY BABYLON IS IN THE DESERT

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

This verse uses figurative imagery. Just as the first verse in chp. 17:

"...Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore [that sitteth upon many waters:]"

If you take these verses "literally", how can it be that Mystery Babylon is sitting on "many waters" and sitting on a "desert" ?

It's later explained to John what the "many waters" represent:

"15 ...The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues."

And then another place is given of where the whore sits:

"9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth."

If you do more research, you will find the mountains describe here may actually represent governments.

The minor symbology of the "wilderness" you base everything on of where Mystery Babylon must be located, isn't explained, and it's rather foolish to claim it's actually a desert when hardly anything else in these verses are what they seem.

The term wilderness could mean a lot of things, perhaps even represent desolation that follows the destruction - so who can know for sure.

There are much better and more reliable descriptions of Mystery Babylon that you & JD should be looking at, IMO.

{2 Timothy 4:8) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

This is self-explanatory.

Certainly the unrighteous aren't going to love His appearing.

It is never about our righteousness...

For your sake, please take the time and reconsider/reexamine/study/pray on that statement more carefully.
