The USSCB, Donna included, has been relentless in trying to influence Congress on illegal immigration, obamcare, tree-hugging etc.
Donna Wuerl even lied, when he misrepresented to the USCCB, Cardinal Ratzinger's firm command that Holy Communion was not to be given to any pro-abort politician. And now he's trying to wash his hands of politics he doesn't want to delve in, all in the name of the Second Vatican Council which he refers to seven times.

What they are all really asking is, Why dont bishops and priests do more politically?I'd just settle for more ex-communications. Its not really asking for much.

I sent him a copy of
my book last week (as well as all of his brother Cardinals, Archbishops, and Bishops). I'm sure he hears no end of badgering from conservatives who want him to speak as loudly against the Democratic Party for its support of evil as he speaks in favor of Democrat policy positions.

(Republicans get in trouble when not living up to their principles. Democrats... when they do.)

I would take Wuerl more seriously if he did not ignore all the priests in western PA cruising in Pittsburgh's gay bars when he was Bishop there.

No, Donna, the people are NOT asking for the bishops to do something POLITICAL. They are asking you to do your job.
Such as, TEACH.
Also, DENY COMMUNION to politicians who commit murder by promoting abortion, euthanasia, experimentation on fetuses, creation of chimeras, etc.
Denial of Communion is not a political act, regardless of the species of the sin of the would-be communicant—whether it is a divorced-and-illicitly-remarried person, or a pro-abortion politician.
Your duty, Donna, is the same in both cases.
