Gotta watch them goats; they b wantin’ to always ‘scape...
Correct understanding of monotheistic written & oral law and its current practice through a polytheistic, derivative-religion lens doesn’t work. This is true even at the pshat level.
Your answers are easily available online.
You can find others on line concurring with this expression. It is not particularly religious. The description is simply common sense, and defeats your illogical first claim.
If you correctly understood the sense of the Books of Moses, the volumes of the prophets, and the post-exilic writings, all preserved as Holy Scripture, you would not need to direct me to the internet to find the answers to the questions I asked you.
You throw in the unnecessary and irrelevant terms "monotheistic," "polytheistic," and "derivative," thus further opening the door on your ignorance.
The writings I speak of are those of the Jehovah Elohim, expressed in Hebrew in the uniplural sense, The Godhead Whoi consists of one continuous substance and has three manifestations, as clearly shown in the Mikra, in which through the ages He has progressively revealed Himself and His Covenants (click here) to mankind. To cling to the mindset you just exhibited is foolish, not in my words, but in those of the Anointed One, The Messiach:
"Then he said unto them,
'O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?'
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures
the things concerning himself" (Luke 24:25-27 AV; 'Christ' is 'Messiach' in Greek).
It sounds to me that you believe in the dead, dead, dead religion of the pharusim, tzaddukim, and scribes, all of whom it took to manipulate their Gentile rulers to murder Jesus of Nazareth, identified as 'King of Jews,' and not in the living faith of the Author of The Mew Covenant.
Is not that so?
No one does because he hasn't yet been revealed. We do, however, know there are things he will do and accomplish and those things haven't happened yet.
Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, it it were possible, even the elect.
23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
99.9 percent of the WORD must be ignored to have a 'fly away' doctrine to save souls.. Ezekiel 13:16 To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.
17 Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy People, which prophesy out of their own heart, and prophesy thou against them,
18 And say, Thus saith the LORD GOD; WOE to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of My People and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
19 And will ye pollute ME among My People for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to My People that hear your lies?
20Wherefore thus saith the LORD GOD: Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them *FLY* , and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.
21 Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver My People out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I AM the LORD.
This great tribulation is not a flesh and blood war. The tribulation is mass deception.
I Disagree. It certainly WILL be quite physical to those who endure it on the earth although there WILL be a great amount of deception as well at first. Things will get so bad they will WISH they could die to escape the torment. It will be a time of God's pouring out of His wrath upon the godless world system and those who have rejected Jesus Christ. This is why the church/Body of Christ will not still be here. We are "not appointed unto wrath": But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of our hope of salvation. For God has not appointed us to suffer wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him. (I Thess. 5:8-10)
Paul does not say anything about God needing to remove anyone ... when the cup of wrath gets poured out. Paul describes the whole armor of God, in Ephesians 6 ...starting with verse 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.....
Paul repeatedly tells us who the antiChrist literally is, and Christ's first instruction was to demonstrate who the tempter is and what the temptation will be. The devil is going to play like he is Jesus and all but the elect as it is written will believe the devil. There are going to be a great number of 'red faced' Christians when the spirit of slumber is removed and they find out they 'married' the impostor.
Christ in the flesh body was GOD with us... As Paul penned in Hebrews 2:14 the purpose was ...Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; THAT through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Now the purpose is established by Paul no less, there is not even a hint that gravity is to be suspended. After all Christ Himself declared Mark 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Paul also wrote IICorinthians 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that , whilst we are at home in the body, (flesh) we are absent from the LORD:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 We are confident, I say, and WILLING rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the LORD.
I am curious why so many believe they will spend eternity in a flesh body. There is no place outside of earth that flesh can survive without mechanical equipment that must be constantly resupplied. And there is no place where one can point to that Christ foretold a secret place outside of earth where flesh bodies will inhabit.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:11 (referring back to Moses and that Rock) Now all these things happened unto them for ensembles (examples), and they are written for our admonition, (warning) upon whom the ends of the world (age) are come. The Israelites were NOT raptured out of Egypt, they were Christ led out of bondage, and so shall it be again. We are given the script and our Heavenly Father is very able to protect those that love Him.
Christ said Matthew 10:28King James Version (KJV) 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
I generally ignore your posts as they typically are nonsensical .... Where do you think Jesus was when the LORD gave Ezekiel this instruction... Christ did declare in Mark 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. Then the very next verse Christ quotes Isaiah 13:10 ... And when Christ made this warning, not one jot or tittle of the so called New Testament, had yet been placed upon animal skins, or plant material, or carved in stone...
God plainly rejects the fly away to save souls doctrine and obviously God knew what His little darlings would be up to, and warned them what He thought of their visions and science fiction.
Are you kitten me?
HMMMmmm...
Emmanuel
Really?
It mattereth not what I 'think'.
You gave a reference and I looked it up and posted it.
The Daniel passage refers to Resurrection, not the Rapture.
Scriptural accounts of the Ascension also defy a worldly understanding of gravity, but it was still witnessed and a documented event.
I'll do the hard work and post the Scripture you are trying to use.
Isaiah 13:10 New International Version
The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.
Heck; I'll even put it in context for you:
Isaiah 13
New International Version (NIV)
1 A prophecy against Babylon that Isaiah son of Amoz saw:
2 Raise a banner on a bare hilltop,
4 Listen, a noise on the mountains,
like that of a great multitude!
Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms,
like nations massing together!
The Lord Almighty is mustering
an army for war.
5 They come from faraway lands,
from the ends of the heavens
the Lord and the weapons of his wrath
to destroy the whole country.
6 Wail, for the day of the Lord is near;
it will come like destruction from the Almighty.[a]
7 Because of this, all hands will go limp,
every heart will melt with fear.
8 Terror will seize them,
pain and anguish will grip them;
they will writhe like a woman in labor.
They will look aghast at each other,
their faces aflame.
9 See, the day of the Lord is coming
a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger
to make the land desolate
and destroy the sinners within it.
10 The stars of heaven and their constellations
will not show their light.
The rising sun will be darkened
and the moon will not give its light.
11 I will punish the world for its evil,
the wicked for their sins.
I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty
and will humble the pride of the ruthless.
12 I will make people scarcer than pure gold,
more rare than the gold of Ophir.
13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble;
and the earth will shake from its place
at the wrath of the Lord Almighty,
in the day of his burning anger.
14 Like a hunted gazelle,
like sheep without a shepherd,
they will all return to their own people,
they will flee to their native land.
15 Whoever is captured will be thrust through;
all who are caught will fall by the sword.
16 Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes;
their houses will be looted and their wives violated.
17 See, I will stir up against them the Medes,
who do not care for silver
and have no delight in gold.
18 Their bows will strike down the young men;
they will have no mercy on infants,
nor will they look with compassion on children.
19 Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms,
the pride and glory of the Babylonians,[b]
will be overthrown by God
like Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 She will never be inhabited
or lived in through all generations;
there no nomads will pitch their tents,
there no shepherds will rest their flocks.
21 But desert creatures will lie there,
jackals will fill her houses;
there the owls will dwell,
and there the wild goats will leap about.
22 Hyenas will inhabit her strongholds,
jackals her luxurious palaces.
Her time is at hand,
and her days will not be prolonged.

Daniel 12:2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
I guess you'll have to explain the difference to me.
Unbelievers are not resurrected at the Rapture, but will remain during the Great Tribulation. They later will be in resurrected form to stand at the Great White Throne Judgment.
No. Is from Lion of Judah.
