Yes, the Mosaic Covenant is no longer in effect but the Ten Commandments were separate from it. The Ten Commandments were in effect from Day 1 of the Universe. They were in effect in the Garden of Eden and will remain effect in Heaven throughout eternity. (Psalms 111:7,8) It defines sin and to be sin free we must know what is and is not sin.

Good post! More proof of your assertion is found in the book of Revelation:

Rev 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in Heaven, and there was seen in His temple the ark of His covenant, and there occurred lightnings and voices, and thunders and an earthquake., and a great hail.

The ark contains:

Deu_10:2 And I will write on the tablets the words that were in the first tablets which you broke, and you shall put them in the ark.

Indeed the ten commandments are permanent, eternal expressions of God's will and law for man. They are literally set in stone and engraved in the hearts and minds of believers.

I think you might have missed the point, DKC. The Book of the Law is in the closed Ark box. hidden from The God's sight, even more so by the superposed Hilasterion, the Mercy Seat, which bears on it the incorruptible Blood of Christ, which paid for every sin committed, and is the object of the Father's attention, not the Law.

Simple knowledge of God's qualities tells us that of course He knew all there was to know of the Law before tine, natter, the electromagnetic spectrum, and the Earth came into being. But as far as humanity is concerned, God revealed it and codified it progressively, and it was not fully known until the Law of the Spirit--of Life in Christ Jesus--became known and available to all living and hearing the Gospel of Jesus.

Going into Eternity, our attention will be consumed with the continuous fellowship in/of Christ Jesus Who is the Mercy Seat Personi8fied, not on the Law of Sin and Death.
