I agree that the outfits should cover more skin. I am also disappointed that the female track athletes are wearing low-rise, bikini-style shorts and crop tops. It seems like shorts with a higher waist would be more comfortable, if not for modesty reasons, IMHO.
The men wear tiny shorts. Why not the girls. Less drag.
I wonder why the male runners all wear mid thigh length shorts and full length tank tops while the women runners wear bikini bottoms and crop tops. It would not seem to be a matter of practicality or comfort. If so, would not the men be wearing speedos?
During the original games in ancient Greece, I believe the games were played while in the nude.
