Sadly, I sometimes believe this Pope lacks the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit; namely, the gift of counsel. Just by reading this article, it seems he is not able to discern the human spirit, but more importantly, the evil spirit operating in our world.

Sadly, I sometimes believe this Pope lacks the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit; namely, the gift of counsel. Just by reading this article, it seems he is not able to discern the human spirit, but more importantly, the evil spirit operating in our world. Throughout its 2000 year history, the Catholic Church has been served by 266 popes, most good, some bad. Yet, not one of them ever erred on teachings of faith or morals, testimony to the work of the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, we need to trust in God and simply let go. "to whom shall we go" (John 6:6769)?
