Salvation is not a reward for having led “a good Christian life,” how ever that might be defined. If I can “earn” or “deserve” forgiveness for my manifold sins, what was the purpose of the incarnation, excruciating torture, humiliation of and by crucifixion?
Salvation is what happens to those that obey.
At the risk of somehow being sucked back into this 850 + post success story, my point had to do with possible expected cultural expectations, not theological matters. As in why isn’t there extensive provisions and charity provided for those that are going to be left behind by those Christians that believe that there will be people left behind post Rapture. As in I would expect there reasonably would be and there doesn’t seem to be any of these type of provisions.
