That’s interesting.

Has anyone else run across this?

I don’t recall either way. I know I’ve seen the lion shall lie down with the lamb many times but as for reading that passage in Isaiah, I can’t say as I recall either way.

I can’t imagine that the actual printing in the Bibles already printed has been altered.

And if we are somehow in an alternate dimension, then our memories should be altered as well. IOW, I’d think that we would not know that reality used to be different.

Reminds me of the movie The Lathe of Heaven and some other sci-fi stories I read where people traveled into the past and altered it but the people in the current world were unaware of the fact that the past had been changed as it was their past.

Well I believe your memory will not be altered in this respect if you are a true believer in the Word of God. HE will not let you be deceived.

I checked with a most reliable source—my mother. Her recollection is the same as mine.

She has a hymn book that was her grandmother’s published in 1888. One hymn specifically has the verse of the lion and the lamb.

They had it wrong in 1888? She also checked another hymn book. A hymn written by a man born in 1792. With the verse being the same. He also got it wrong? Then she checked an article written by a Jewish man pertaining to Isaiah. He apparently also got the verse wrong. ?????

Deuteronomy 4:2

“Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.”

Verse three of “Peace in the Valley” a 1937 song written by Thomas A. Dorsey, originally for Mahalia Jackson, and later sung by Presley and Cash (among others): “And the lion shall lay down by the lamb, oh yes And the beasts from the wild Shall be lit by a child And I'll be changed Changed from this creature that I am, oh yes.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_in_the_Valley Glory to God.
