"Catholic Christians, just as born again, I assume, feel that"
Being "born again" is NOT about membership in some off-shoot branch denomination.
Being "born again" is described as INDISPENSABLE, according to Jesus and --- by the way, Peter.

He’s not alone. I’ve been in a crisis of faith in Frank for some time now.

He is human. That is a human failing. He is fessing up to it, whereas most remain silent about it.That would be great and all...BUT HE'S THE FREAKIN' POPE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

He is fessing up to it, whereas most remain silent about it. for yourself, but not for others. Speak for yourself, anyone who continues to have many occasions of a crisis of faith should not be a priest, let alone a Pope. His whole papacy has been indicative of his lack of Catholic faith.

If the great St.Therese of Lisieux, the Little Flower, maybe the greatest modern saint, can have a crisis of faith, as she did her last 18 months, why can’t the Pope? A crisis of faith doesn’t necessarily mean a doubt. When God puts the great saints through the dark night of the soul, if they aren’t having a crisis of faith, aren’t they pretty close to it? Jesus said, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me”, upon the Cross, but the Pope can’t be honest and say he at times struggles with faith?

What he actually said was that he did not like the term genocide because Christians were being killed not for their ethnicity but for their faith in God. As such, the appropriate term should be martyr in witness to Christ, not the generic, secular term genocide which did not accurately describe and which diminished their sacrifice
Your pope is trying to sugar coat it...Almost make it sound like these people are voluntarily becoming martyrs and looking forward to it...
The children and babies that they are murdering aren't martyrs...They are being murdered because their parents are Christians....No one is asking these people if they want to live for Mohammed or die for Jesus...It's just a wholesale slaughter because they are known as Christians...Genocide...
Your pope is a flake...

Catholic Christians, just as born again, I assume, feel that because of Gods love and mercy and the grace of the Holy Spirit, that we are born again with every action of faith that is directed toward God.Born again is NOT actions of faith directed toward God...Born again is a spiritual operation...From God...NOT to God...

If they're baptized, and being killed because their killers know their parents are Christians, they're martyrs beyond question.
For a Pope to call them "martyrs," rather than "genocide victims," is significant. Martyrs go straight to heaven. Genocide victims, not necessarily.

How do you know how many people have had, and still have, many occasions of crisis of fatih?

St. Therese was never the Vicar of Christ. Any pope who admits he still has many occasions of crisis in the Faith should resign his office.

A crisis of faith doesnt necessarily mean a doubt. Except this is what Francis actually said:
On many occasions I find myself in a crisis of faith. Sometimes Ive questioned Jesus and even doubted. Is this really the truth? Is it a dream?

The problem is that Francis doesn't acknowledge the Catholic Church's definition of "martyr".
Recalling the decades of atrocious suffering and harsh persecutions against Catholics, Orthodox and Muslims, we can say that Albania was a land of martyrs: many bishops, priests, men and women religious, laity, and clerics and ministers of other religions paid for their fidelity with their lives.L Osservatore Romano, September 26, 2014, p. 8.

She [the Blessed Mother, who was conceived without sin] was silent, but in her heart, how many things told the Lord! You, that day, this and the other that we read, you had told me that he would be great, you had told me that you would have given him the throne of David, his forefather, that he would have reigned forever and now I see him there! Our Lady was human! And perhaps she even had the desire to say: Lies! I was deceived! Papa Tango.

Heretics and schismatics put to death as Christians were denied the title of martyrs (St. Cyprian, Treatise on Unity 14; St. Augustine, Ep. 173; Euseb., Church History V.16, V.21). St. Cyprian lays down clearly the general principle that "he cannot be a martyr who is not in the Church; he cannot attain unto the kingdom who forsakes that which shall reign there." St. Clement of Alexandria strongly disapproves (Stromata IV.4) of some heretics who gave themselves up to the law; they "banish themselves without being martyrs".The Catholic Encyclopedia

"On many occasions I find myself in a crisis of faith" This is the same know-it-all who considers himself qualified to bulldoze 2000 years of doctrine.
