I ask your prayers for my father. He is eighty-eight years old and has been living alone since my mother died eight years ago. He has been in excellent health and condition for a man his age. He still drives. He is active in his church, the American Legion, and volunteers at the information desk of his county courthouse. He is a valued neighbor and member of his community. He went into the hospital last week for some bad back pain, an issue that pops up every couple of years. He also had a case of cellulitis, which was not responding terribly well to the antibiotics. They also found arterial fibrillation, which might be something new. He had not had any heart issues before.
My aunt has been feeding me some very alarming information about his condition (probably from my cousin, who is a nurse), and how even treatment for the heart issue can be life-threatening. I don't know if I want to believe her. I have to trust that the doctors will do the right thing, and that God will watch over their work.
I ask your prayers for the restoration of the health of a very vital man -- a good and kind man, a proud veteran of the Korean War era, and a patriot. I am thankful for having him for my fifty-nine years -- a lot longer than a lot of people have their parents. But I am scared, and I still need him.
Thank you.

Prayers for your father and for all who know and love him.
Just catching up, and glad to read that your dad’s doing better!! Great news.
Thank you. Please continue to pray for him. He is better but it is a slower recovery than we had hoped.
I’ll be happy to continue praying for your father. Hope you were all able to enjoy this Father’s Day together.
Prayers continue.
I’m assuming your dad has been released from the hospital and is in some kind of rehab?
Not yet, unfortunately. The cellulitis hung on longer than expected, and there was a continuing problem with atrial fibrlllation. He did have a procedure on Thursday to cement fractures in two vertebrae. That went well, and he was supposed to have gone to rehab Friday or Saturday, but he has very low sodium levels. We're taking it a day at a time. Thanks for asking. Your continued prayers would be appreciated.
Prayers every single day till he’s home again. For all of you.
Thank you.
Prayers.
