And so it seems certain to me that the Church is facing very hard times. The real crisis has scarcely begun. We will have to count on terrific upheavals. But I am equally certain about what will remain at the end: not the Church of the political cult, which is dead already, but the Church of faith.

Dear friend, it is easier to attack the people of the "Book" than those truly responsible for this heinous crime. It will get worse as society rallies around the LGBT community. They will demand more rights for them and will attack the Catholic Church for refusing to marry them.
I did not think for a second that you were, and I apologize for any misunderstanding. My statement was my usual retort to knuckleheads that attempt to mitigate the severity of Muslim atrocities with the worn-out line that “Christians are just as bad”. Like the nimrod you were referring to.
