We have experienced a very sneaky example of the devil impugning God’s character recently at FR with the spurious defense of the prosperity gospel, the ‘name it and claim it’ gospel. Because God will not be manipulated, the subtle message is a confusion of ‘am I holy enough’, or ‘is God not keeping His Promises?’ The former question urges works to be good enough, and the latter urges questioning God’s character.
I never looked at it that way but that is true.
