Are they going to install an emergency exit? Last time they tried it, the sects who jealously guard every single square inch of their turf practically started rioting.

Or, maybe while they’ve got the scaffolding up, they can finally remove the “eternal ladder.” It’s only been sitting there for something like 100 years, because whoever it is who controls the space where it sits won’t let the descendants of the ladder’s original owners came and get it.

Personally, I can think of few things less “holy” than the self-centered jerks who run that place. If I ever make it to Jerusalem, that’s one site I’d just as soon skip.

The Church of the Holy Sepulcher is where I experienced my epiphany during my pilgrimage to the Holy Land. What a wonderful place.

My Protestant friend (reared Baptist, changed to Presbyterian when she moved to a town with no Baptist church) and I went on a Holy Land tour with Steve and Janet Ray. Steve and Janet were converts to Catholicism from Evangelical Baptists. GREAT tour.

The visit to Jesus' tomb was amazing.
Since the Romans took down Mount Calvary in the fourth century, the spot where Jesus' cross had been was ground level and only about twenty feet from His tomb.

My friend and I had our two minutes in His tomb and I laid my rosary, already blessed, on His tomb. We both get very snerfy about that visit. It was the highlight of my life.

They'd better vet the restorers very carefully:
