And we have both accepted the murder of unborn children. They might actually be the first country to make it illegal after it has been legal. Their abortion rate has come waaaaaaay down. Now, they have pure demographic reasons as well as any religious/moral reasons to do that. Part of the reason they are in a demographic hole is they were aborting something like 280 per 100 live births as a peak in the early 90s. The didn’t get down to 100 abortions per 100 live births until the early 2000s, if I recall.
