I see how it goes.

If the person of questionable character is a non-Catholics, it’s proof of their condemnation and hypocrisy and they are judged and damned by Catholics.

If the person of questionable character is a Catholic leader of any kind, they are excused, brushed off, or just downright ignored, and their actions are glossed over with *Nobody is perfect*, *They’re just sinners like the rest of us*, and *Everyone else is doing it too*.

THAT is hypocrisy. Double standards always are.
