God will Judge

He will indeed sir. I am reminded of that verse, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. I think He has a kind of fire that we know absolutely nothing about.
I have heard some try to make a joke out of it, by saying, go to Heaven for the climate and to Hell for the company. I am not amused by that. It is not a joking matter.

Yes, a fire. I think our sins burn. Through grace and spiritual effort, God enables us to survive the burning, and we are slowly purified. But hell is when those sins are allowed to just burn freely, without restraint. Our own actions provide the fuel, and the separation from God they create provides the flames. God's love and forgiveness are cool water in the burning desert of sin.
