The Pope listens to Jesus not his opponents. It is Jesus who will be with the Pope until the end of time. That’s good enough for me.
The first pope, Peter, besides denying Jesus Christ three times, during His Passion, and later fleeing imprisonment and impending death in Rome until he once again met the Resurrected Christ was still Pope.
Let’s hope the current Pope will also stop denying his Christ.
