The Cruz game is to find a way to break through in congressional districts of NY. Upstate with more conservative voters in general or downstate with conservative religious voters as we discuss here.

That would be the Satmars in Kiryas Joel. They established a community by that name and came up with the idea that they could establish a Satmar School for their kids to be taught Chassidic Judaism and protected from secular influence but they also came up with what can only be called a scheme to have the school paid for with state and federal tax funds and local property taxes that they, controlling Kiryas Joel, would apply to their kids proper education and upbringing.

I am sure I don't have to tell you that secular authorities took a verrrrrry dim view of all this. Numerous Satmar leaders were indicted, tried, convicted and sentenced to substantial jail terms.

By happy coincidence (and I mean that sincerely because Chassidic Jews are among our very finest citizens), her ever power lusting Satanic Majesty was just then preparing her NY US Senatorial campaign. New York may be regarded as liberal but there was the year (1980) when Senator Jacob Javits was defeated in a Republican primary by Al D'Amato. Three feminazi harpies: Comrade Bella Abzug, Comrade Elizabeth Holtzman (representing in Congress the Lubavitcher District, and Mob Mama Geraldine Ferraro, babykillers all, squared off against each other seeking the right to defeat pro-life Al D'Amato. Holtzman defeated Abzug and Mob Mama but lost to D'Amato. Her Royal Thighness did not want to be feminazi victim #4. Slick Willie was still in power and had his pardon pen.

The Satmars invited the Arkansas Medusa for a sit down. No press, no media, no video or audio tapes. Just by coincidence, Slick Willie pardoned the Satmar prisoners and Kiryas Joel's 1000 or so voters voted nearly unanimously for the Medusa. That was effectively the end of that relationship since the Satmars are conservatives and Comrade Grandma is, well, Comrade Grandma.

You are absolutely right that Cruz intends to pick off as many NY delegates as he can. This past weekend, he celebrated Passover with the Lubavitchers at a Lubavitcher kosher bakery. Trump, though a New Yorker all his life, did not. He will carry New York State but many delegates are elected by Congressional District and Cruz will get some. It is not sexy, not spectacular, just hard, effective, competent work grinding it out one delegate and one voter at a time within the rules.

Then, with each delegate lost that way because Cruz works harder and learns more, Trump will whine, moan, bitch and complain that those were supposed to be TRUMP's delegates. Who knows? But it isn't stealing and Cruz will pick off delegates fair and square.

Where Cruz probably reaps some failures is that a LOT of Catholics are not Trump fans but Cruz has allowed himself to be painted into a corner as being a sort of fundamentalist Christian that they find hard to understand. Religiously traditionalist Catholics would walk over broken glass barefoot for him if not distratcted by far-fetched slanders against Cruz's religious values and beliefs.

The Satmar is the same sect, and they haven't endorsed anyone but Hillary Clinton in the NY primary. They also say if any Jew joins the IDF, they should be ostracized from the community.
