And yet Catholics have no problem bragging on how they are saying the rosary with its 50 hail Marys compared to its 10 Our Fathers. You once posted to me that numbers were meaningless....

Show me the prayers to and worship of Mary in the early church in Acts.

The OT and the various letters in gospels written down of Paul and John Etc we’re being read in the Christian churches for two or three hundred years before the cannon was established
If your reading comprehension is such that you didn’t understand what the point of my post was then you’re misunderstanding is on you

It was assembled so people would know what could and couldn't be read at the Liturgy.
Athanasius is the first person to identify the same 27 books of the New Testament that are in use today. Up until then, various similar lists of works to be read in churches were in use. Athanasius compiled the list to resolve questions about such texts as The Epistle of Barnabas. Athanasius includes the Book of Baruch and the Letter of Jeremiah and places the Book of Esther among the "7 books not in the canon but to be read" along with the Wisdom of Solomon, Sirach (Ecclesiasticus), Judith, Tobit, the Didache, and the Shepherd of Hermas.
I see you know the difference between a LIST of books and the BOOKS themselves.
ME: Therefore; the bible that Rome assembled is insufficient to get a person saved.YOU: It wasn't assembled for that purpose.
Note that I did NOT say ANYTHING about WHY it was assembled, but that the EVIDENCE Rome has produced indicates that...
...the bible that Rome assembled is insufficient to get a person saved.

And that is, how do I get saved? What do I have to do to go to Heaven? Some other folks wondered this very thing, so they asked Jesus directly...
John 6:28-29
Then they asked him, What must we do to do the works God requires?
Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.
Rome wants us to believe that Jesus gave an INCOMPLETE answer here.

nd substituting a wafer for Jesus is a close second. No, that's the protestant view...in Catholicism, the Wafer IS Jesus.

You can be religious all your life, do all the right church things and never be born from above. God's not interested in our church affiliation but rather our heart. #1, no you can't
#2 then why did He establish the Catholic church (which He did)???

Tell me, do you think that a person has to have *correct* doctrine and theology to be saved? That if they dont, God will reject them? Absolutely not, there are good people who have no access to the truth....HOWEVER, To have God's truth, to be a member of His church, and then to reject and deny it seems to me to be more than a little dangerous.

Establishing what letters/books should be read during church services is selfish? That WAS where MOST people heard the Word of God until the invention of the printing press. You mean read like a storybook? How about the fact that they were written and preserved so that we may know the truth about our God and our faith from God to us?
John 20:30,31 Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.
II Timothy 3:16,17 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

We won't go into the requirement catholicism places upon Mary for their salvation. Catholics have NO requirements having to do with Mary to obtain salvation...Christ is, and has always been, the basis of Catholicism.

Fatima says otherwise....and so does the roman catholic church. And so does this prayer TO Mary. Are you sure you're catholic??
My Queen, my Mother, I give myself entirely to thee, and to show my devotion to thee, I consecrate to thee this day, my eyes, my ears, my mouth, my heart, my whole being without reserve. Wherefore good Mother as I am thine own, keep me, guard me, as thy property and possession. Amen.http://www.marypages.com/PrayerstoMary.htm

And each one was VOTED into the office of pope by quite obviously wicked electors. How far down does the wickedness go? 1/12th of the Apostles that Christ handpicked turned out not to be so great.....

Catholics have NO requirements having to do with Mary to obtain salvation...Christ is, and has always been, the basis of Catholicism. Wait a minute bro. If I recall correctly, you once said I didn't need to worry about any catholic doctrine except Mariology. Now you are telling me I don't need that either? Thanks bro. I appreciate that.
Now, how are you going to bluff your way into Heaven? I would prefer to do a John 6:29. If others don't agree with that, it's on them, but it seems a little dangerous to reject that.

Because we have yet to find a single catholiciism adherent on these threads who even acknowledges those two passages are real, you might want to check the DR catholic Bible to be sure they are included ... JOHN 20:30,31 and 11 Timothy 3:16,17
