Of which we only have evidence beginning in the 3rd century.

It doesn’t take a long time for false teaching to creep in.

We also have evidence that the early Reformers accepted Marion devotion. Who were the later reformers that taught that there is no place in Christianity for Marian devotion? Can you point me to any of their writings?

Do you have any information on the details? Which island? Which missionaries? Which natives? Was the book written in the native language or did the natives learn the language of the missionaries?

Doing a little mind reading there.

Nah...

...plain ol' reading worked just fine: #133

1. The phrase Holy Mother of God is NOT found in Scripture.

It is found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which is based on Holy Scripture and Sacred Tradition.

2. Mary is dead.

Sacred Tradition says she is with Jesus in heaven.

If you don't want to believe it, then don't. But I do.

Peace,
 Rich

No thanks; they smell funny.

My, you MUST have a very, very long nose to smell them.

As for the chocolate pie, no thanks. I'm not a big sweets eater. If you made it, it must be deeeelicious.

They were all over the board as were the Early Church Fathers.

They accepted some aspects on Mary and rejected others just like the ECFs.

It's why we should always go to the Word as the ultimate proof source.

You guys sure do use her!

No "RIP" for the poor lady until AFTER...

the non-rapture takes place,
and after all Catholic souls have been released from purgatory
and after those who don't know if they'll make it to heaven finally do.

Do you happen to know the penalty for wearing a brown scapular if you do not truly, totally and fearfully believe it is effective?
