The wisdom comes from the Lord. He is the one, who gives people true wisdom. No matter how many books you read or how many universities you graduate from if your wisdom is not given from the Lord then you will just have education without wisdom. You will make wrong decisions for your life.
How To Receive Wisdom From The Lord
Look for it as for silver. The second chapter of the book of Proverb calls us to call out for insight, cry aloud for understanding and look for it as for silver.
Change Your View on Wisdom
Wisdom is not something that is easily received. Wisdom is a hidden treasure. You have to search for it.
What Do You Find
As a result of your search for this hidden treasure, you find and understand what is called "the fear of the Lord" (not to be confused with the "fear of the future"). Understanding the fear of God leads you to "the knowledge of God."

I thank God for his atoning Son. I dont fear him at all. John 3:16.
That about wraps it up.
Filial fear is the fear of an adopted daughter or son who is afraid of offending the God Who loved us into existence out of pure love, not to show us who's boss, but to make us as much like Him as possible, except that we can never be God, otherwise, He wants to give as much as possible of Himself to us, and if we truly receive His love, we will be in quiet dread of ever offending Him.
The Fear of the Lord, is the beginning of Wisdom.
The Hebrew that we translate as “fear” was a big word that meant more than just scared to death! It included “awe,” “wonder,” as well as fright.
Oldplayer
Interesting.
No one knew the Lord Jesus like the apostle John. No one knew His love like John, so he wrote the most about it.
But when, for the first time, he saw the risen, GLORIFIED Lord Jesus, he fell at his feet like a dead man.
So, you’ll be different?
Thus it is the beginning of wisdom.
I don’t follow that. I will answer. I just quoted those who wrote “john” in the verse designation in year 1611 of “3:16”. Are you disagreeing with the proposition that if you simply believe in Jesus ( as the Son of God) you are saved? You are not questioning that tenant?
Same thing happened on the Mount of Transfiguration.
The glorified Christ is truly far beyond what we can imagine and I doubt many people will be able to stand on their feet in His presence.
Of course not.
I am referring of course Revelation 1:12 - 17.
Are you saying your comprehension of the atonement is greater than that of the apostle John?
Yes, the fear of God is a greatly misunderstood truth, and warped by legalists who have no comprehension of the height, depth, breadth of the atonement that will allow every believer to stand before Him, cleansed completely by His shed blood, clothed with Him as our righteousness (we elswise have not an ounce).
Yet every saint in the Bible, when face-to-face with the living God - fell before Him. I know I will be no different.......
Not the same thing. They did not fall as dead men, but continued to stand.
Transfiguration still did not reflect the glory He received after His ascension to the right hand of the Father....it was before His death, burial and resurrection - and before His ascension.
John saw Him in Rev. 1:12-17 AFTER He had been fully glorified.
And, even though he was the “disciple Jesus loved”, and had laid his head on Jesus breast at the Last Supper - fell as a dead man.
I don’t think you understand the book written in the name of John. It said that if you believe in Jesus as the Son of God ( as i do) you HAVE eternal life. You do not question that written history -— do you?
So that I fear all else less.
The Same One as Daniel as he wrote in Dan. 10:4-10, eh?

If the above is your blog, I believe you can give yourself permission to print the entire text here as a vanity post, eh?
The fear of the LORD for me is the opposite of those who would sin more because of the knowledge of His grace. I envision the image of Jesus at His return (which will be Him unveiled) and that is someone who will be feared, loved, respected for He is worthy to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!
He is our Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.
Maranatha!
“Fear” of God (in context) is the realization that He exists and that if one does not accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, Hell awaits....
