“Christ is the Word made Flesh, and the church is the Body of Christ. It is Christ who established His Church and gave her the authority to teach via the Holy Spirit. “Whoever hears you, hears Me.”

“I believe that proposition, because it is Christ who teaches it.”

While I too believe this, I always look for deeper meaning and understanding. This article explains why, “Our tendency is to draw a conclusion quickly, based only on limited evidence, so that we appear to know what we’re talking about.”

IN the beginning was the “word”, John 1:1 [ The Word Became Flesh ] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

What is a “WORD”? A word is a metaphor for a thought it represents. And what is that “thought”? It is a pattern of “consciousness.” God being that Higher Consciousness that created all His children, including you. He is your Father too! The Holy Spirit is that Higher Consciousness of God coming to help your lower consciousness be lifted up. When it moves into you, you are “Born of the Spirit.” That is the true communion.

Instead of just reading the Bible on the surface in an anthropomorphic manner, invite the Holy Spirit into you and pray on the meaning of scripture. It has many levels of meaning so that only those with ears to hear the higher levels will hear them.

John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Mark 4:15 Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

Mark 4:18 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word;19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.

Matthew 12:32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

No one will find Jesus or our Father except through the help of the Holy Spirit. To deny the Holy Spirit shackles us and prevents our spiritual growth.

Inviting in the Holy Spirit is not all peaches and cream. It must first displace all that is not Holy. This is the reason the Quakers and the Shakers earned their name. Inviting in the Holy Spirit while you are holding onto garbage and you are the incinerator is not a comfortable place to be.

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”(A)? 35 If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came, and Scripture cannot be set aside, 36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, “I am God’s Son”? 37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. 38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” (A) Psalm 82:6

You too are children of God and have the right to call God your Father.... “This, then, is how you should pray: “’Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,......

Matthew 5:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven.

Matthew 23:9 And do not call anyone on earth “father,” for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.

You too have earned the right to be called “sons” and “daughters” of God.
