And is comprised of exactly what? Specifically.
Plus???
I think not!
Jude 1:3 English Revised Version
Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, I was constrained to write unto you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints.
So the pope is elected by popular opinion?
Not much like Peter when he cast lots.
At least he prayed about it and trusted God to lead them.
So you’re comfortable with following a human leader elected by the vote of men who are NOT led by the Holy spirit in their decisions?
And you trust your eternal destiny to them?
A lot of Catholics tend to think otherwise...
Bonaventure: â¦the gates of heaven will open to all who confide in the protection of Mary. Blessed are they who know thee, O Mother of God, for the knowledge of THEE is the high road to everlasting life, and the publication of thy virtues is the way of ETERNAL SALVATION . Give ear, O ye nations; and all you who desire heaven , serve, honor Mary, and certainly you will find ETERNAL LIFE.
Ephem: â¦devotion to the divine Motherâ¦is the unlocking of the heavenly Jerusalem.
Blosius: To the, O Lady, are committed the KEYS and the treasures of the kingdom of Heaven.
Ambrose: â¦constantly pray âOpen to us, O Mary, the gates of paradise, since thou hast its KEYS.
Fulgetius: â¦by Mary God descended from Heaven into the world, that by HER man might ascend from earth to Heaven.
Athanasius: â¦And, thou, O Lady, wast filled with grace, that thou mightiest be the way of our SALVATION and the means of ascent to the heavenly Kingdom.
Richard of Laurence: Mary, in fine, is the mistress of heaven; for there she commands as she wills, and ADMITS whom she wills.
Guerric: â¦he who serves Mary and for whom she intercedes, is as CERTAIN of heaven as if he were already thereâ¦and those who DO NOT serve Mary will NOT BE SAVED.
Anselm: It suffices, O Lady, that thou willest it, and our SALVATION is certain.
Antoninus: â¦souls protected by Mary, and on which she casts her eyes, are NECESSARILY JUSTIFIED AND SAVED.
Why is it an ignorant question to ask of the College of Cardinals is led by the Holy Spirit in their selection of the pope?
It’s simple. A yes or no question, which, BTW, I note that you also failed to answer.
The board awaits your answer....
Scripture.
It works better.
GMTA
The roman catholic church may have recognized them but they were not recognized as Scripture by the early church nor the Jews nor attested to by Scripture itself in Luke 11:51.
Good grief...
A catholic denies what history has recorded.
In tomorrow's threads we'll be discussing the landing on the moon conspiracy and the two shooter conspiracy.
When we say that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, who died on Calvary for the sins of men, that's heresy?
Were he alive today, he would not recognized what the ELCA has become, though he'd probably recognize the Missouri Synod.
No they don't think otherwise. You just seem to have a hard time understanding the theology of mediation.
Say you fall overboard and the captain sends someone out to save you. Would you refuse their hand, because it was not the captain's hand? Would you push them away, because the captain didn't jump in?
No, but when you add that you can only come to Christ through Mary, that her intervention is necessary for salvation, then you've moved into heresy.
The foundation of all our confidence is found in the Blessed Virgin Mary. God has committed to her the treasury of all good things, in order that everyone may know that through her are obtained every hope, every grace, and all salvation. For this is His will: that we obtain everything through Mary.
UBI PRIMUM ON THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION ENCYCLICAL OF POPE PIUS IX FEBRUARY 2, 1849

Truth mixed with a little false teaching is the heresy.
I trust my eternal destiny to Jesus Christ who established the Church, investing it with his authority and protecting it by the Holy Spirit. This rather than trusting in the novel theories invented by self-proclaimed reformers 1500 years later.
The early church was the Catholic Church. There is no authoritative list of the books of the Bible accepted by the early Christians other than that proclaimed by the Catholic Church. The Protestant idea that the early Christian accepted a Bible without the Deuterocanonical books is pure fantasy.
And the one God has sent established the Church and gave us the sacraments. You cannot have one without the other.
Perhaps you need to read the passage from Luke.
How about we start with the list of canon of the Bible. The canon of the Bible is not self authenticating.
How do you square your comment with what I posted in post 134?
