Usually when things are symbolic, there is an interpretation. This verse isn’t interpreted, so I would tend to read it as literal. The next two verses are probably literal too, but there is nothing in the known solar system and stars in the near future that fits. However, if a big red brown dwarf star with a lot of moons, comets, etc. comes wiping around from the back of the sun, then look out.
What we do know is that, while a Bible prophecy may be hard to fathom before it happens, after it happens it is clear what the prophecy meant.
Yes, there will be signs in the sun, moon, etc. But plenty of Scripture is there to be understood by the Holy Spirit’s teaching which includes symbolism not always interpreted immediately in the text.
There is a river (the Spirit) in the New Jerusalem which proceeds from the throne, leaves provide healing (not natural leaves), streets of gold we know are not actual streets of gold, beast with seven heads is not one person, etc, etc.
In the Song of Solomon, where can I find Him?,,,, spoken by the lover (body of Christ). Many, many other Scriptures contain symbolism without text interpretation.
So I think my comments of the woman and manchild are more probable than you think. Pray about it as always and ask the Lord.
