Surely, if you are claiming infant baptism is Scriptural, you must have something - anything - other than an invisible baby to put forth as proof??

Colossians 2:11-12, baptism replaces circumcision. Infants were circumcised, why wouldn't they be baptized? Is baptism man's work or is it God's? Is faith man's work or a gift of God? Why would reason be needed for faith?

Not scripture, but Father Origen wrote in 240 A.D. "The church received a tradition from the apostles to give baptism to infants too."

Thanks for your comments Tao.

Colossians 2:11-12, baptism replaces circumcision.

Baptism is simply an outward sign of an inward reality. It is a picture of something unseen by human eye.
Infants were circumcised, why wouldn't they be baptized?

Infants were circumcised to include them in the covenants, as commanded by God. It was detailed down to the day they must be circumcised.

There exists no such command in the NT for infants. Circumcision of the heart now is unseen.
Is baptism man's work or is it God's?

Baptism of believers is commanded as a first act of obedience. Believers should follow the Lord in baptism as a public testimony of their faith.

Is faith man's work or a gift of God? Why would reason be needed for faith?

"Faith comes from hearing and hearing by the Word of God."
Not scripture, but Father Origen wrote in 240 A.D. "The church received a tradition from the apostles to give baptism to infants too."

Long before 240 AD, error had crept into the church, as Paul and John warned. This is why you will fail to find any examples, commands, depictions in art, secular reporting, etc., before 100 AD. It was not passed from the Apostles.
