After months of reflection, Donald Trump says he still doesn't regret his decision not to ask God for forgiveness for his sins.
In an interview on Sunday with CNN, the Republican presidential frontrunner said that he does not regret never asking God for forgiveness, partially because he says he doesn't have much to apologize for.
"I have great relationship with God. I have great relationship with the Evangelicals," Trump said in the interview before pivoting to his poll numbers among Evangelical voters.
"I like to be good. I don't like to have to ask for forgiveness. And I am good. I don't do a lot of things that are bad. I try to do nothing that is bad."

Thanks, man I appreciate that. I have struggled with religion my whole life, but I no longer struggle at all with believing in Jesus Christ, He saved my life when I asked Him to, so I love Him.
George Washington owned slaves:many presidents have worshiped on Sunday only to get caught in scandals the following Monday; JFK, a good Catholic womanizer; lyndon Johnson abused his dogs; Bill Clinton had the morals of a dog in heat.... no one is a perfect Christian. Donald Trump says he is a Christian and goes to church. That’s good enough for me.

Okay. Whatever you say.
I’m sorry, my link in post 50 to a Bloomberg article didn’t work. I know Bloomberg hews service treats Free Reublic very strictly for posted material, so I can’t cut and paste from there. But the Trump comment reported on 9/18 was:âWell, I do,â Trump said. âI think itâs great. I consider communion to be a very important thing. You know, when I go to church and I take communion I consider that asking for forgiveness in my own way. And I do think itâs a great thing and I think itâs an important thing and it makes you feel good.â
This clarified a comment made at a Frank Luntz forum in July:
Moderator Frank Luntz asked Trump on Saturday if he had ever sought God’s forgiveness and Trump replied, “I’m not sure I have ever asked God’s forgiveness. I don’t bring God into that picture.”
Trump clarified further about forgiveness in the church setting saying, “When I go to church and when I drink my little wine and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of forgiveness. I do that as often as I can because I feel cleansed. I say let’s go on and let’s make it right,” declared Trump
The comment didn’t make much news in July because his comments about John McCain’s war record were made at the same time
ð¢ð¢ð¢please don’t say such things. God will judge him. And me and you. We cannot see into another’s relationship with God.
Billionaire Developer on his 3rd wife? You really believe that?
Two Corinthians told Trump that he was good to go.
Here is a man that outright states that he will not humble himself before God, but his adherents think he’ll be a great steward of the Constitution.
.
It tells those familiar with the word of God that Trump is completely lost.
Somebody needs to wake him up.
“God will judge him.”
God may judge him, but we will first.
I never dreamed we ever see a more arrogant narcissistic candidate for POTUS in our lifetime. And DANG!!!!!! It’s from our side.
I used to think this was really for the benefit of everyone. Nonsense, wrong premise, wrong result. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnTaY38_FRo#t=59
If I didn’t believe it, I wouldn’t say it. Only he and God know the full account of his life.
I’m not going to sit here and assume bad things about him, and people have troubled relationships in this world. I’ve seen them, I’ve been in them.

Well, considering he was having an affair with Marla while married to Ivana; and when he wanted to divorce Marla, rather than tell her he told the NY Daily News and left a copy on her pillow, I'd say there are a few thinks he should have asked forgiveness for - not just from God, either.
Is this satire?
But to say basically that you don't know if he has anything to ask for forgiveness is a bit over the top.
Trump might think he is up there with JC, but I think we all know otherwise.
Well, honestly, what does any of this rhetoric mean? It seems that all of it is closely calculated and formulated to meet expectations. So when Trump makes these outrageous statements ... some of us are taken in!
