They are, well, weird. Doesn’t make it better (on either side) but it does make some sense.
Turns out some Argentinians are weird also.
The Scandinavians still have Apostolic Succession (they didn’t go through the 30 years war, the lists were never burned). And being part of Russia for so long made the Fins a bit different. One missionary I support is of Finnish Lutheran stock, and works in western Russia. I once asked him if the Russian government gave him much trouble, and he just laughed.
They fit somewhere between Lutheran, Orthodox, and Catholic. More Lutheran of course, but they sometimes slide to the other two more than is proper.

OMGosh. True story. This “change” business is the new gospel, and any Mercy for those who elect to remain Catholic is not present. We are “idolic” and don’t appreciate that God can “surprise”.
To the contrary, I fully expect to be surprised by our Lord, and possibly soon— just not while entertaining apostasy.
