Kent Hovind gave up the futurist view too.
Date setters embolden the scoffers always!
I’m keeping my head up and focusing on Christ as almost ever day that passes and this time we are living in are literally fulfilling Prophecy to the letter.
So, when did the prophecy concerning the “mark of the beast” take place? And when did Jesus return - did I miss Him?
Also a shame that when John wrote Revelation, the temple was already destroyed.
Guess he missed that too?
That is a great point!
Which has caused my respect for R.C. Sproul to plummet.
Part of me regrets ever buying the Left Behind books or The Late Great Planet Earth.

When was Revelation written? Who was the beast? These and many more questions answered here: http://prophecyquestions.com/2014/02/01/articles-by-charles-meek/
“Also a shame that when John wrote Revelation, the temple was already destroyed.”
John wrote Revelation before the temple was destroyed. I am not about to get in the weeds over that, but you would do well to google Moses Stuart and read his commentaries. He goes over all that with a fine tooth comb.
Correct. We all also must have missed 1/3rd of all trees burned up worldwide, all of the green grass burned up, every living creature in the oceans dying, painful sores worldwide, 1/3rd of the sky darkened, and on and on.
I cannot fathom what drives this strange thinking of those who say they study the Bible, other than ego, or fear, or mass deception.
Good ole Keepers Of Odd Knowledge.
As long as the world sets its work and worship schedule by a Roman calendar (4th beast/Kingdom in Daniel that would think to Change times) named for a Pope (which the first reformers called antichrist’s) , the body of believers have no clue how Satan deceives the whole World- to this very Pope Gregory false god Tiw’s day..
Would non Roman Catholics admit being duped by Rome?
December 25 proves that answer to be a big no...
Prophetic!
It doesn’t matter what you believe about this kind of doctrine. As long as you have confessed with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in you heart that He was raised from the dead, then you will be saved. However, if for some reason you are left behind, remember this: DO NOT TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST!
Jesus clearly said in Matthew 24:32 regarding the lesson of the fig tree when “these thing will happen”.
Israel becoming a nation again fulfilling Ezekiel 37 in 1948 is the same “generation” that will see those things happen. Some dispute the start date since Jerusalem wasn’t captured until 1967. That’s fine. We’re well within the traditional Jewish definition of a generation parameters with either date.
Russia on Israel’s very door step right now is literally the ramp to kick off Ezekiel 38/39.
These are amazing times to be living in! Truly of Biblical proportions, because no political leader currently has any answers to all of the world’s problems. But one will soon appear who does.
“I am not about to get in the weeds over that...”
Yeah I won’t either. I’m sticking with my timeline.
“ego, or fear, or mass deception.”
Maybe a little bit of all three?
Maybe they can write another article trying to distract & distort about how somehow their “Antichrist” back in 70 AD made the whole world worship his image, and on top of that, how did the whole world see the two witnesses killed in Revelation 11?
And I’m sure Tacitus or Plutarch would’ve been a witness to Revelation 14:6 with the Angels proclaiming the gospel? Maybe?
This stuff is so sophomoric that I almost find it be to said in jest from atheists trying to get Christians to debate Preterist nonsense.
When did John write Revelation?
“âI am not about to get in the weeds over that...â
Yeah I wonât either. Iâm sticking with my timeline.”
You stick to your timeline. God will stick to his. :-)
I know, I just don't get it. The arguments do not even follow Logic 101. There are so many holes in their positions (Biblically speaking) that their buckets cannot hold even a drop of rainwater. Yet, they persist.
Hawaiian pastor J.D. Farag (born in Lebannon, fantastic and gutsy preacher) said once that some of his absolulte worst hate mail came from so-called Christians who disagreed with his belief and teaching of the pre-tribulation rapture.
He responded to his critics that Satan hates the pre-tribulation rapture as well.
