Excellent question. The answer in the earliest form of communism.
God asked Cain “Where is your brother?
Cain did not want to answer that question. So he tried to distract God to a different paradigm:
Am I my brother’s keeper?
The Judeo-Christian answer is: No. I am not my brother’s keeper. I am my brother’s brother.
There is a big difference.
Prisons, zoos, plantations have keepers. The main job of the keeper is to prevent peole from escaping...escaping from the plantation. The keeper (or the people the keeper works for) are smarter (or stronger) than those kept. They know what is best for the people they keep and are angry when their guidance is ignored.
The brothers brother teaches his brother to fish; but does not give his brother the fish; nor force him to fish.
The brothers brother is not responsible for his brothers choices or behavior. Each person is responsible for his own choices, including his religious choices.
Increasingly, those who use the label Christian claim that the rest of us should adopt the theology of Cain and reject the Judeo-Christian theology of God.
Communism is the theology of Cain. The beauty of the theology of Cain is that different self-appointed busy-bodies can have different agendas for their brother.
Slaves on Plantations of the past were quite different from serfs in communist Ukraine. And yet, they were essentially the same.
Concerning Cain and Communism. Very good. Thanks!
