I’ve been to Vineyard prayer groups,truly a very powerful and gifted bunch. Most of my exp. with Calvary Chapel is that they are dismissive or distrustful of Charismatic experiences. I’m from Huntington Beach, adjacent to Calvary Chapel, know many from there and elsewhere. Just from my collective exp. with C.C, I dont think there is much in the way of charismatic gifts there.
I think dismissive is strong word yes we put more emphasis on fundamentalism but I’ve seen lots of times where the gifts where in full swing I have nothing against the Vineyards I know several who go there and are true followers of Christ I know some who was at the Toronto blessing and had an incredible experience from it so I don’t dismiss it at the sometime I don’t go overboard I’ve been to several Pentecostal churches where things where too much I think there has to be a balance and at Calvary chapel there is just that.
