Yesterday a friend sent me a photo of the sign at St. Columba-Brigid R. C. Church in Buffalo.
The sign was so scandalous I had a hard time believing it was not photo-shopped.
This morning I drove to the church to see for myself. With great sadness I report it is true. I snapped the above photos this morning.
This pro-homosexual sign effectively mocks the Blessed Trinity, mocks the Hypostatic Union, mocks the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph – some of the most sacred components of our Catholic Faith.
The Seven Gifts of the Holy Ghost include the Gift of Fear of the Lord, which incites our will to a filial respect toward God; and the Gift of Piety, which incites in us a filial affection for God and the things that pertain to God. Those responsible for this sign display actions bereft of the Holy Ghost.
This is the depth to which many in our Holy Church have fallen as a result of the unprecedented crisis of Faith over the past 50 years.
St. Columba-Brigid R. C. Church is in the diocese of Buffalo NY. The the local ordinary is Bishop Richard Joseph Malone

Carmelite Sister Marie de Saint-Pierre, a chosen soul who lived in France from 1816-1848, and whose work and messages enjoy the full approval of the Catholic Church, received the following special communication from Our Lord on the sin of blasphemy and the necessity of reparation.
Sister Marie de Saint-Pierre wrote, “He opened His Heart to me, and gathering there the powers of my soul, He addressed me in these words: 'My Name is everywhere blasphemed. Even children blaspheme.' And He made me understand that this frightful sin, more than any other, grievously wounds His Divine Heart. By blasphemy, the sinner curses Him to His Face, attacks Him openly, annuls redemption, and pronounces his own condemnation and judgment. Blasphemy is a poisoned arrow ever wounding His Divine Heart. He told me that He wishes to give me a Golden Arrow wherewith to wound His Heart delightfully and heal these wounds inflicted by the sinners' malice."[1]
The prayer that Our Lord dictated has become familiar to many of us, The Golden Arrow.
We urge our readers to pray this prayer often in reparation for the blasphemy in Buffalo, as well as for the countless other blasphemies throughout the world.

“May the Most Holy, Most Sacred, Most Adorable, Most Mysterious and Unutterable Name of God be praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified, in Heaven, on earth, and in the hells, by all God's creatures, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. No way! I’d be so out of that parish....
That is sinful, blasphemous, heretical, and apostate on so many levels that it hurts. My protestant church would likely break fellowship with a member who put this on the church sign.

Update: Buffalo’s Bishop Malone sent a response to those who asked about the sign:
“Thank you for your message regarding the sign at SS Columba - Brigid Church here in Buffalo. As soon as I learned of this sign, I took immediate action to have it removed. The pastor of SS Columba - Brigid Church told me that the “2 Dads” were meant to refer to a child who has both a father and stepfather. There are several children in his parish who have both a father and stepfather. However, given the potential for the meaning of this message to be misunderstood and even perceived in a heretical way, it was immediately removed.â€
CFN comment: We can be grateful the sign is removed. With respect, it seems hard to imagine anyone in our time not being aware of what the ‘2 dads’ term can imply, especially since the pro-homosexual book “Heather Has 2 Mommies” has been around since 1989. Couple this with the shocking pro-homosexual statements that surfaced during Synod discussions of both 2014 and 2015. In any case, as this aspect of the situation appears to be resolved, we have removed the links to the parish and the chancery. There is no further need to contact them - jv

Snopes has cited many such hoaxes.
Usually because they’re outrageous signs at Mosques.
Don’t expect Snopes to defend Christians.
It appears this sign was personally observed by the author of the article.

Why did Bishop Malone acknowledge the sign and order its removal?
Blasphemy.
Now if they could take down the sings inviting islam “refugee” invaders to the Western world. Maybe add some signs to discourage overpopulating Africa more than it is now.
I do find that sign very offensive.

On the other hand, it's useful to remember that liars, well, lie. If the pastor were genuinely referring to 'fathers and stepfathers' (which I genuinely do NOT believe), then he would have likely taken a more conciliatory tone when confronted with the error of his ways.

Without the church we still got Jesus, so who needs a church??
