Ah yes, “The Church Militant.” What a quaint concept (said with full sarcasm), that we should fight for our religious freedom and to spread and even preserve Christianity. Those who don’t like the idea of a “church militant” are responsible for removing hymns like this and “Forward Christian Soldiers” from modern hymnals, because “the church shouldn’t encourage war.” Oh it idiocy of such belief/interpretation.

Yes, “The church militant” isn’t politically correct in many Christian churches. That is part of the great falling away.
