Would the idea that you could spend time with the living Lord instead of his tunic have any meaning for you?

And if a memorial of Jesus brings someone closer to the living Lord himself? Or are you worshipping the Bible because you spend time with it instead of with the living Lord?

My response is that in reading the Bible, God wants nothing before Him. He knows the heart of man and how we have “mission creep” to the memorial rather than Him. It would also add that eventually we should move from milk to the solid word. My continued question is why one would prefer a substitute or a indirect relationship with God when one could have a direct relationship? He invites us to call him Father. I will add that the direct relation with God is a very uncomfortable thing at times but yet the most reassuring thing.

Regarding your comments about “worshipping the Bible”

1) yes there are some that do worship it but they are wrong.
2) It would appear that you view the Bible as a relic or tool and not the real thing. Is not his Word the Living God?
